Welcome to Bamacowboy.com
Hello, my name is Donald Bates and I want to thank you for visiting my little hideout on the web; BamaCowboy.com. I am known online as DBatesPhoto due to my interest in Photography. Before DBatesPhoto was created though I was called BamaCwby (Bama Cowboy) a web-variation of Cowboy a nickname I picked up in high school that followed me into the club scene.
I grew up in and around Huntsville and Madison Alabama. Growing up in such Beautiful surroundings it inspired me at an early age to begin capturing it on film. As I matured Photography grew from a hobby to my true Passion. The photos on this page are just a few that you will see here and on my professional Photography site: DBatesPhoto.com it and BamaCowboy.com are a part of my web ring Southern-shots.com
While DBatesPhoto.com and other parts of the Southern Shots web ring are devoted to my photography. This site is all about me; The Bama Cowboy and the things that I love. As well as what makes me the man I am. You can see more of my personal photography. Photos from the club scene where I got my start, local concerts, portraits of some of my favorite models and some of me.
Thanks again for stopping by.

Started going to dentist as a kid and continued as long as could afford going. Due to various medical issues nothing [...]

Monday morning I woke up earlier than usual. Since it was already looking nasty and I had to do a few things I decided to make the most of the day. Even here in the South this has been a harsh winter. Lot more snow than we normally get in a decade, temps on a [...]

Since it was an abnormally warm day today in the Tennessee valley, Three degrees shy of tying the record of 74 set in 1911 and tied in 1959 I was not about to sit in front of tv or pc and let it pass. Rain, snow and cold has kept me stuck inside way too [...]

The Summer of 2010 went down in the record books as the Hottest summer in Alabama History. Even though we stayed a few degrees below the record high most days and I do not believe we tied or beat any the overall average was higher than any previous summer in the 100 plus years that [...]
